“Subhanallah (Holy God), so this is what causing the traffic jam.” I thought while looking outside the window.
A large green truck was being towed while two policemen secured a gray van that crumbled like a tattered bread. This is the cause of the abnormal congestion on the highway that I often go through.
My mind went back to the tempered glass that broke into pieces; adding more job to do and cost of several hundred thousand Rupiah. But I immediately looked into the back seat; my son was fast asleep without caring for the severe congestion outside. Similarly with her mother. On the bench next door, my sleepy mother was still able to play the role of a reliable navigator. Alhamdulillah we are all fine without any injury.
What is the sense of fatigue, weary, and some money for smart phones that thank God is not damaged except the protection sheet? What does that mean compared to the happiness of meeting my father a few hours before? And what’s the meaning of everything we’ve experienced rather than what happened to the casualties?
Humans often boast themselves as the greatest; but when the truly exam appear they whined. Play victim and melancholy used to be a favorite choice; as though God had never done justice. The reality is not so! Allah has promised that He will not try His servants with anything beyond their abilities,
“Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Al-Baqarah: 286).
Just believe in Him and you will feel protected, in sha’ Allah.
