Alhamdulillah praise be to Allah who gave us the opportunity to do the Ramadhan umra. Indeed this one is different then other umra. Umra is kind of worship that need good physical condition, especialy in the Ramadhan which moslems are forbid from eating and drinking. For those who do it after breaking fast then there is no problem in sya’ Allah.
As for those who are running it during the day then it takes more patience. Not only to endure hunger, thirst, and fatigue, but they also have to muffle emotions. It is not an easy thing but the rewards are not arbitrary. The prophet explained that the reward of Ramadhan umra as high as do hajj (pilgrimage) with him,
فان عمرة في رمضان تقضي حجة معي
“Indeed, umra in the month of Ramadan like a pilgrim with me.” (Narrated by Bukhari no.1863).
In addition there is another favor that can be achieved,
ان لله في كل يوم عتقاء من النار شهر رمضان و ان لكل مسلم دعوة يدعو بها فيستجيب له
“Verily Allah set some people free from the fire of hell on every day in the month of Ramadan, and every Muslim when he said a prayer then certainly granted.”
And also this one
اذا جاء رمضان فتحت ابواب الجنة و غلقت ابواب النار و صفدت الشياطين
“When it comes to Ramadan, the doors of heaven are opened, the gates of hell are closed, and demons are shackled.”
May Allah pleased to receive our worship during the umra, the past and after. And we should also pray that every worship could be done with sincerity and ittiba’ (imitating the way which Messenger of Allah taught); because without both the deeds of worship become futile. Allahuma aamiyn.
