“What is life for?” Asked a friend of mine. The question may fit to a philosopher, but not to her. With a tan face, blue soft lens, and shoulder length brown hair, she looks more a miss universe than a hermit. She also a good-learner and great orator whom her parents gave certain seafood restaurant to handle.
“What is life for?” I recalled. Nobody thought that this simple question would be a turning point in my life. I myself began to ask, “what is our purpose of life?” Is it only to pursuit dream? Or just live sober until death approached? Of course each mortal has their own answers to this question.
Perhaps you are in the middle of a nowhere; have no place to go or home to comeback. Dont know where to get the answer. Please do not give up hope and not despair. Indeed there is an answer, which you are looking to. You may find it in the Qur’an, in Surah Adh – Dzariyat (The wind that blows / The Winds that Scatter) verses 56-58:
وَ مَا خَلَقْتُ اَلْجِنَّ وَ اَلْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ. مَاٰ ِاُرِيْدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَّ مَٰا ُاُرِيدُ اَنْ يُطْعِمُوْنِ. اِنَّ اللهَ هُوَا الرَّزَاقَ ذُو القُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ
“And i have not created jinns and men except that they should serve (worship) Me. No Sustenance do I require of them nor do I require that they should feed Me. For Allah He Who gives (all) sustenance –Lord of Power –Steadfast (for ever).”
This is the message from Allah, The one and only. It contains the truth which you always seek. What is life for?
